HOWARD A. PURDEN III October 31, 1931 - November 12, 2024 Howard A. Purden III went to the heavenly golf course on November 12, 2024. He was born October 31, 1931 in Colton, California, to Howard A. Purden, II and Velma Purden . He spent 28 years on the San Bernardino Fire Department in California, retiring in 1985. He then moved to La Pine, Oregon, followed by Bend, Oregon, and finally settled in Pahrump, Nevada, in 1999. Howard was an avid golfer, a longtime Mason, a member of Moose Lodge 808, and a past member of the Eagles, Elks, and Odd Fellows. He will at last be reunited with his cherished wife, Dora Purden (2019), and son, Howard A. Purden IV (2013), both of whom he missed dearly. He is survived by his daughter Sheryl Hamilton , daughter-in-law Vikki Ann Purden , three grandsons, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. No services will be held, per his request. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Nathan Adelson Hospice, who provided many hours of conversation and comfort.
