Vernon Dale Ward was born on October 7, 1959 in Belton, Missouri to James and Lois (Harrell) Ward. He passed away on December 5, 2024 in Stigler, Oklahoma at the age of 65. He is survived by: His children: Amber Ballard and husband, Justin, of Kinta, OK Josh Ward and wife, Candace, of Stigler, OK Michael Ward of Stigler, OK Loraine Hargas of Tulsa, OK His grandkids: Justinnray, JJ, Makenzie, Kyan, Cashlynn, and Laken His sister: Ellen Ward of Broken Arrow, OK Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Ward; his brother, Sam Ward; his granddaughter, Mattie Lane; and his grandsons, Ruger Terry Lee Ward and Baby Ward. Vernon enjoyed fishing, reading books and watching movies, especially Westerns – mainly with John Wayne. He loved his animals. He was a life member of the North American Fishing Club. Viewing will be held at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home is Stigler from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 7; and from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, December 9. A Graveside Service will be held at Garland Cemetery on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Jeff Brown officiating. Interment under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
