Bio

Beverly Burnham Uptain Beverly Burnham Uptain, passed away peacefully in her home in East Wenatchee, WA on September 4th, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born to the late Rex Merrill Burnham and Violet Street on September 14, 1935, in American Fork, Utah. Beverly was a cherished member of the Burnham family, with one sister, Patricia Burnham Hicks and two departed brothers, Marshall (Bud) Fox and Rex Merrill Burnham Jr. On January 12, 1953, Bev married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Uptain, in the Mesa LDS Temple. In their 71 YEARS of marriage, they have had many adventures together. Ken entered the army soon after marriage, then they had many moves taking them from Arizona to Oregon and finally on to Washington State. After the untimely deaths of both Beverly's parents, Beverly & Ken warmly accepted the role of raising Patricia age (8) as their own child. Beverly also welcomed 6 of her own children into their household. Kenneth (Elaine) Uptain, Terry Rodgers, Owen (Linda) Uptain, Jill (Keith) Parsons, Scott (Robert) Uptain, Leslie (Gordon) Mills. Beverly's children and their spouses remember her as a caring and loving mother, who was the best cook in the world. She really used magic at being able to make a delicious meal out of anything available in the kitchen. Beverly was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was an avid puzzle lover and enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and hunting with her husband and family. Beverly graced her family with wonderful piano music, playing by "ear" only. Her Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas popcorn balls, divinity and toffee were the highlights of the holidays. Her devotion to her immediate and extended family was felt by all. Beverly's memories will be cherished and kept alive by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whom she adored and loved with all her heart. Flowers can be sent of Chapel of the Valley 378 Eastmont Ave, East Wenatchee, WA. Arrangements in the care of Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA. Chapel of the Valley
