Emil Jansky, 93, of El Campo, Texas died Monday, Jan. 15,1996. He was born Dec. 8, 1902, in Yoakum to the late Anton and Vincencie Kerbana Jansky. He married Edith M. Zurovec on Aug. 2, 1932, in Cistern. He operated a grocery business until 1941 and worked for the Civil Service as Chief Storekeeper at Camp Huelen in Palacios until 1946. He was an insurance salesman for Slavonic Mutual Fire Insurance Association for approximately 40 years. Mr. Jansky was a former member of El Campo Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and was honored with a certificate for 50 years of service, a member of Catholic Workman Lodge and St. Philip's Catholic Church. Survivors: daughters, Jo Ann Priesmeyer of El Campo; son, Robert Eugene Jansky of El Campo; and sister, Anne Novosad of Rosenberg. Preceded in death by: wife on April 25, 1993; sister, Emily M. Jansky and brothers, Rev. Edward J. Jansky and Charles Jansky.
