Bio
Ronald G. "Ron" Henning, 75, died May 21, 2024 at his home in Pretty Prairie surrounded by his family. He was born on April 30th, 1949, in Kingman the son of Otto and Vi Kathman Henning. A longtime resident of Pretty Prairie, he was a retired Millwright, welder, semi truck owner and operator, member of the National Guard for 6 years, among many other things. The most important of these things included being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and more. Ron had hobbies included riding his Harley motorcycle, cheering on the Chiefs, hunting, and later on, woodworking. He will be deeply missed by many friends and family. Ron attended St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman. On April 19, 1969, he married Geri Goering in Kingman. Other survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Kris and Michael Krehbiel and Kellee and David Goldsmith; brothers Wayne, Don and Otto "Butch", Jr; two granddaughters and their husbands Amber and Jake Hoogerheyde and Makayla and Ian Groves. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Gary; and sister Diane Thimesch. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:OO p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Waterloo, Kansas. Memorials may be made with Traditions Hospice in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
