Bio
Brenda Kaye Johnson Sisk, 80, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born October 13, 1944, in Kingsport, to the late Lester and Tennessee Barrett Johnson. Brenda was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a committed Christian and member of Higher Ground Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed cooking, gardening, and tending to her farm animals while living in Georgia. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Sisk; brothers, Jerry Johnson, Sherman Johnson, and Hagen Johnson; special nephew, Terry Johnson. Those left to cherish Brenda's memory are her daughter, Tina Hall (Jerry); grandchildren, Drew Fuller, and Bo Ingram; step-grandson, Seth Hall; great-grandson, Wiley Ingram; sister-in-law, Faye Johnson; special nephew and caregiver, Tommy Johnson; special friend, Dickie Drawdy; her lifelong best friend, Judy Church; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20, 204, 1:00-2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Shannon Powers officiating. Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Gentiva Hospice staff members, Hannah Salyer, Tammy Taylor, and Tammie Williams for their compassionate care of Brenda.
