Funeral services for Ruth Wiederhold, 83 of Dime Box, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dime Box. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Dime Box. Ruth Ella (Ruzicka) Wiederhold was born on September 4, 1940 in New Colony (Bell County), Texas to Joe & Ella (Shenkir) Ruzicka. She was baptized on October 23, 1951 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Burlington, Texas. On July 25, 1959, she was united in marriage to the first love of her life, Edward Joe Hoelscher Sr. She later married the second love of her life, Marlin Ben Wiederhold on March 11, 1978 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dime Box. She retired from County Care Plex as a housekeeper. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. She was a member of St. John Lutheran in Dime Box. Ruth passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Ella Ruzicka; first husband, Edward Hoelscher Sr.; her son, Gary Hoelscher; her sister, Patricia (Jimmy) Polansky; her daughter-in-law, Arlene Hoelscher; brothers-in-law, Virgil Green, Albert (Milady), Lee Roy (Evelyn), Ervin (Mildred), Edgar (Ruby), Robert & Wilburn Wiederhold; sisters-in-law, Viola (Gerhard) Kissman, Alene (James) Cottrell, Lavern (Leroy) Zwerneman, & Joyce Zwerneman. ∼
