Vera M. Kirkpatrick Appeal-Democrat (Marysville-Yuba City, CA) - Thursday, May 10, 2001 Vera Marie Kirkpatrick, 92, of Live Oak died May 9, 2001, at Live Oak Manor. Born in Springfield, Ill., she was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 67 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Live Oak Church of the Brethren and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2563, Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Dona Stohlman of Gridley and Ardis Gaither of Old Station; three sons, Warren Kirkpatrick of San Dimas Ronald Kirkpatrick of Portland, Ore., and Dale Kirkpatrick of Washougal Wash.; three sisters, Leola "Dode" Shreves of Yuba City Edna McVey of Los Angeles and Lena McVey of Washington; a brother Marion Wassell of Los Angeles; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Kirkpatrick; a son Mason Kirkpatrick; and two brothers, Bert Wassell and Lyndle Wassell. Donations may be made in Vera Kirkpatrick's memory to Live Oak Church of the Brethren, 1990 Archer Ave., Live Oak, CA 95953; or to Live Oak Manor, 9000 Larkin Road, Live Oak, CA 95953. Services: A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Live Oak Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at the Live Oak Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Barbara Ober officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
