James Riley Bullard, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Winters, TX. Born on April 19, 1945, James served four years in the Navy, dedicating himself with the same passion he applied to every endeavor in his life. In 1995, James married Susie Gholson, marking the beginning of a joy-filled chapter in his life. Together, they shared a love for square dancing, fishing, swimming in their back yard, and spending time with their beloved dog, Cricket. After Susie's passing in 2019, James returned to Texas to be closer to his family. James is survived by his brother, Bill Bullard of Merkel, TX; his sister, Neita and her husband Royce Heathcott of Waller, TX; his brother, Richard and his wife Michelle Bullard of Abilene, TX; his sister, Velma Sudduth of Winters, TX; and his brother, Dickie Bullard of Winters, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Riley Bullard; his mother, Juanita Vernell Bullard; and his brother, Paul Bullard. There is no memorial service planned for James. His life was marked by the deep connections he made with those around him and the simple pleasures he cherished.
