Survived by wife, Frances; daughter, Mrs. Anthony Ostronic, Jr.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Nathan Banks, Mrs. Walter Donovan, Mrs. Charles Novak; 4 brothers, James, Clarence, Victor and Emil Barta; 2 grandchildren. Funeral services Monday, 8:30 a.m., at the Dworak-Chapuran Chapel to St. Mary's Church 9 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Rosary Sunday, 8 p.m., mortuary. ''''''''''''''''''' The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebr.), April 17, 1952, p. 4, col. 3 Rudolph Barta, Former Butler County Resident, Buried Monday, Omaha Rudoph Barta, 57, of 5137 So. 39th Ave., Omaha, passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in Omaha Thursday, April 9. Mr. Barta, a former Butler County resident, suffered a paralytic stroke. The son of Joseph F. and Antoinette Koutnik Barta, Rudolph Barta was born in Butler County, April 22, 1894. He attended the Linwood schools and later served in the U.S. Army during World War I. Mr. Barta married Francis Shalon in David City. They are the parents of one daughter, Helen Ann, Mrs. Tony Ostranic of Omaha. They farmed in Butler County until moving to Omaha 10 years ago, where Mr. Barta was employed by Armour & Co. He was a former member of American Legion McLeod Post No. 47, of Schuyler. Besides the widow and daughter, Mr. Barta is survived by two grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence of Alliance, Emil of Cozad, Victor of Mead and James of Nebraska City; and three sisters Emma, Mrs. Charles Novak of Bruno, Vlasta, Mrs. N. E. Banks of Pasadena, Calif., and Blanche, Mrs. Walter Donovan, recently of Fremont. Funeral service was Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Omaha. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Omaha.
