Alan Ross Creasy was born to Ernest and Vera Creasy on their farm in Hardisty on October 24th, 1930 and passed away in the Hardisty Health Centre on August 4th at the age of 93. Alan lived his entire life in Hardisty. Moving once a whole one and a half miles from his birth place to an acreage near the family farm and then spending the last 5 years in the Hardisty Health Centre. Alan had three loves: work, more work and family. He grew up on the family farm with his 7 siblings and had a very strong bond with them. Growing up in the 30's the family faced many challenges and hardships which made him determined to work hard and succeed. He had a real passion for animals and proudly raised Hereford cattle and loved his horses and dogs. As he aged and his body was starting to wear out, he always said the only time he was pain free was when he was in the saddle riding a horse. Alan always said he was blessed with two wonderful women in his life. He married Irene Budd on November 24th, 1958 and had four children. Irene passed away in 1999. Alan then married lifelong friend Raymonde Devey in 2000. Although he measured a good day by the amount of work accomplished, he did love his family and he would've moved heaven and earth for them. He loved spending time with the grandkids teaching them a new skill and how to work on the farm. He had a wicked sense of humor and was notorious for trying to create an unfair advantage while playing games. Alan's hobbies were fencing and checking cattle. He used to say a four letter swear word was play, golf, puck, ball or anything that wasn't purposeful work. Alan was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Vera Creasy; infant son Darryl; wife Irene; siblings Martin Creasy, Phylis Evans, Donald Creasy, Byran Creasy, David Creasy and Iris Drever. A Graveside Service will be held on August 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Hardisty Cemetery with a lunch and fellowship to follow at the Hardisty Community Hall. If so desired Memorial Donations may be made to the Hardisty Hospital Auxiliary or Hardisty & District Handivan Society. *Brother-in-law Richard 'Dick' Budd (1927~1969) *Brother-in-law James Devey (1927 ~ 1995) *Brother-in-law Peter John Clement Prost (1920 ~ June 2, 1999) *Brother-in-law James Peter Budd (1934 ~ October 29, 2003) *Brother-in-law John George Jochim (January 30, 1927 ~ November 27, 2007)
