Husband of Edward Rollin McCall. Daughter of Frank Volek and Aloise Mosnicka. OBITUARY: Mother of Four Dies in Colorado Pneumonia Results Fatally for mrs. Ed McCall, Former Ord Girl; Eldest Child 8 Years Old, Mrs. Ed McCall, 29 a former Ord girl and mother of four tiny children, passed away at her home in Alma, Colo., last Thursday after an illness of several days with pneumonia and complications. Beside her when the end came were her mother, Mrs Frank Blaha, Sr., her step-father, Mr. Blaha, and her step brother and sister-in-law, Frank Blaha Jr., and Mrs Don Tolbert, all of Ord. Bessie Volek was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States with her parents, Mr and Mrs Frank Volek, when she was an infant. Her father was killed in a Missouri coal mine shortly after his arrival in this country and later her mother was wed to Frank Blaha Sr., of Ord. Ten years ago Miss Volek was married here to Ed McCall and four children were born to them. Robert, now eight years old, James, seven, Dorothy, four and theresa, nine months. Besides her husband, children and the relatives mentioned above Mrs McCall is mourned by one step-sister, Mrs Frank Lukes, of Ord, and three other step-brothers, Will Blaha, Grand Island, John Blaha, Ord and Lew Blaha, Sidney. Funeral services were held at 9:30 am Monday at the Ord Catholic church with Father Lawler in charge and interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.
