Obituary (from the Scoggins funeral home website): Dennis Mark Henderson passed on December 7, 2023 at the age of 67. He was born January 9, 1956 in McKinney, Texas. He was the second born son to Mary Jane Mills Henderson & CR Henderson. Mark was born in McKinney, Texas and had major Texas pride. Unless, of course, it came to his sports teams. An avid NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan, he never missed watching their games. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1974. Mark worked in the grocery industry and for Safeway for many years. He also worked for Fisher Control and The City of Frisco. When he wasn't working, he spent many years playing baseball and coaching his daughters. He loved bowling and had quite an interesting throw for a lefty. He loved live music. Mark spent many evenings at his favorite spots listening and enjoying time with his friends. He never met a stranger, a friend who would stand by you. Mark's daughters, Meredith & Courtney, and three grandchildren were the light of his life. He adored his three grandsons, feeling blessed that they brought a special and renewed purpose to his life. Every card he signed would have a different "grandparent" name. Finally, we landed on "Papa" suiting him best. His love for his family was immense. He was generous, kind, and a terrific uncle to his many nieces and nephews. We know he was greeted at the pearly gates by all of his family and dear friends. Survived by his daughter, Meredith McNulty (Patrick) of Lakewood, Colorado; daughter Courtney Thomas (Bryan) of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Pearse, Rowan, and Briggs, Brother Dr. Michael Henderson (Marlene) of Aubrey, Texas; sister, Cindy Maki (Eric) of McKinney, Texas; brother, Chris Henderson of McKinney, Texas; sister, Becky Elkins (Paul) of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other family and friends.
