LITTLE GIRL DIED SUNDAY About 4 o'clock Sunday morning, Marie Lewis, the six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lewis, who live on South Kentucky Street, was found dead in bed by her mother. Little Marie was badly burned while some grass was being burned off the yard about seven weeks ago, from the effects of which she never recovered. She had been, seemingly, for the past two or three weeks and was thought to be on the road to recovery. Burial took place today in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at noon, Dr. E. E. King conducting the devotional service. Burial arrangements were made by J. C. Parker of the Massie undertaking establishment. The Courier-Gazette. February 22, 1915. Page 1.
