Bio
Parents are David James Hutchison and Agnes Neish both from Scotland. The Hutchison's traveled from Scotland to America to join with the Richard Ballantyne Company in Iowa to travel to the Salt Lake Valley. When they joined the company, Agnes was with child. She delivered a son who they named Joseph. Joseph was their 9th child. He was born 20 July in 1855, but did not live long as he died 10 days later. According to the company journal: "Died and Buried this Day Joseph Hutchinson [Hutchison] ag[e]d 10 Days son of David and [Agnes Nish Hutchison]" Infant Joseph is buried by the North Fork of the Platte River.
