Bio
Services for Theodosia Hobbs, 87, were held in the First Baptist Church in Albany. A second service was held in the First Baptist Church in Newcastle. Mrs. Hobbs moved to Albany to live with her son, Bart Hobbs in 1954. Mrs. Hobbs was born in Bell County. She married James Randolph Hobbs on 26 May 1889 in Dublin, Texas. He preceded her in death. They made their home in Newcastle for most of their married life. She was a member of the Baptist Church since a girl and was a member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are five sons - Bart, Claude, Jim, John, and Jess; four daughters - Mrs. A.B. Ashburn, Mrs. Leon Long, Mrs. W.A. Briscoe, MRs. J.W. Walker; two brothers - Bart Allison, Claude Allison; 56 grandchildren; a number of great and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hobbs was preceded in death by an infant son on 9 November 1891.
