Funeral services were held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Herse mortuary for Mrs. Henrietta Wilbur who passed away on last Thursday at the Boone County Community hospital. The services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Beckmann of Zion Lutheran church. A young ladies quartette, Alice Larson, Joyce Splittgerber, Rhoda and Elizabeth Beckmann, sang. Pall bearers were four nephews, Roy Fritzges, Bill, Bob and Jack Spiegel and Art McNurlin and Wesley McCoy. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Henrietta Marie Spiegel was born in a sod house at Cedar Rapids on April 29, 1897 and died at Albion July 13, 1950 at the age of 52 years, two months and 14 days. March 30, 1918 she was united in marriage to Herbert Ralph Wilbur. To this union two children were born, a daughter, Marie, Mrs. Raymond Brickel of Albion and a son, DeLain Albert of Fremont. She is survived by her husband; two children; three grandchildren, Harlan Ray, Robert Leroy and Kay Joyce Brickel, all of Albion; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Spiegel, Loretto; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Fritzges of St. Edward, Mrs. Edith Hackerott of Manhattan, Kan., Mrs. Bertha Pope of St Edward and Mrs. Edna Kelley of Albion; and two brothers, John and Fred Spiegel of Albion. One brother, Chris, preceded her in death. She also leaves to mourn her passing other relatives and a host of friends. The deceased lived her entire life in Boone county with the exception of a few years spent at Wolbach. At the time of her death she was a resident of Fremont.
