Mavis Nadine Melton passed away June 11, 2008, in Carrollton, Texas. Services will be 12:30p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Restland Wildwood Chapel.Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Restland Funeral Home. She was born in Belton, Texas. She was active as a hostess with the Widowed Person Society for 15 years. In her professional life she was a fashion designer who also loved gardening and antiques. Mavis lived in Waco, for 45 years then moved to Farmers Branch, Texas, in 1968. Mavis is survived by her son, Coleman Ray Coan and wife, Anita, Donald Bryan Coan and L. Davis Melton, Jr.; daughter, Beverly Ann Coan; sisters, Mildred Green, of Waco, and Virginia Pryor, of Dallas. WT: 6/12/2008
