She attended school in Madison, graduating in 1955. While in high school, she worked as a lifeguard and was a talented majorette. On January 26, 1956, she married Richard "Dick" Reigle in Denver, Colo. The couple were blessed with three children. Sondra and Dick enjoyed selling racing programs at the Madison Downs when there was horse racing in Madison years ago. She also enjoyed working for Gerry's Pharmacy and the Bill Blank Agency. For many years, she helped Dick on the farm until retiring in 2010, when Sondra and Dick moved to Madison. She was involved in many ways at Trinity United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday school, volunteering at VBS and serving on various committees. She loved music, singing in the church choir and performed solos at many funerals over the years. Sondra also enjoyed playing cards, particularly Bridge, and played with multiple card clubs with people of all ages. She was famous in her family for her special "Grandma's Brownies." Sondra Reigle passed Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk, Nebraska. Visitation with family will be 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at the church. Resseguie Funeral Home of Madison, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements. Memorial services for Sondra Reigle will be 11 am Wednesday, September 18th at Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison with the Rev. Caitlin Bentzinger officiating. Survivors include: Jody, Michael and Douglas; her brother, Larry; 6 grandchildren, Brian, Brett, Traci, Michelle, Ryan and Alison; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents, Albert and Irene; her in-laws, Milton and Mildred; and sister-in-law Phyllis.
