Dorothy Jean Valek (nee Lefler) July 7, 1928 - September 10, 2024 Dorothy's Obituary Valek, Dorothy Jean (nee Lefler), peacefully passed at home surrounded by her sons, Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Willie Valek; loving mother of Jack (the late Debbie) Myers, James Borden, and William D. Spence; cherished grandmother of Cindy (David) Paigen, James (Michele) Myers, Ryan (Morgan) Spence, and Lonie Borden; loving great grandmother of Samone, Connor, Alycia, Tabatha, Sabrina, Brody, Johnny, and Melody; dear sister of June Davis, and Larry (Bonnie) Lefler; dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Dorothy was born in Kennett, Missouri and was one of nine children born to Wilson and Eva Lefler. She was proud of the three boys she raised. She spent her later years enjoying traveling and spending time with her husband to whom she was married for 51 years. She was involved with her community and the First Southern Baptist Church in Hemet, California. Dorothy really enjoyed cooking and baking especially for her great grandchildren. She enjoyed her last six years in St. Louis, Missouri. Dorothy will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Services: Visitation at SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Interment Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
