Fred James Slovak, 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Ennis, Texas. Fred was born in Ennis, Texas, on June 25, 1955, to Joe Louis and Mary Barbara (Matous) Slovak. He grew up in Ennis, Texas and attended school there. Fred worked for himself as a Handyman for over twenty years and for H&K Kitchen equipment for twelve years as a welder. Fred enjoyed playing horseshoes and fishing. Fred loved spending time with family and friends and had a great sense of humor. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jodie Slovak and son, Joshua Slovak. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery with Rev. Bob Thomas officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
