Bio

Steven A. Stemper was born July 1, 1949 in Humboldt, NE to Jerome and Elsie Stemper. He passed away on September 5, 2024 at his home in Omaha. Steve grew up in Peru, NE and was a graduate of Peru State College. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. Steve worked as an Insurance Agent and as an Investment Broker. He was an avid basketball fan, playing the game into his 70's. Steven is survived by his siblings Bonnie (Fred) Hiykel, Dave (Kim) Stemper, Donna (Ken) Frohlich and Deb (Kevin) Kinney and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak and Cutler Mortuaries, 7805 W. Center Road, Omaha. Funeral service, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak and Cutler Mortuaries. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Lincoln, NE at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Peru State College Foundation: Jerome & Elsie Stemper Scholarship Fund.
