Janice "Sissy" Marie Tomlinson Baker went to be with Our Lord and Savior Friday, September 6, 2024. Sissy was born February 1, 1955, to Jewel Inez Tomlinson in Junction Texas. She was the baby of nine children. She lived most of her early years in Junction and then her later years in Menard, Texas, where she raised her two daughters. Sissy met and married the love of her life, Joe Edward Baker of Menard, in September of 1993, where they lived out their years on Turkey Barn Lane. There was no greater role than that of being Nanny; she lived for her greatest achievements: her grandkids and great-grandkids. Sissy is proceeded in death by her mom, Jewel Inez Tomlinson, and her brothers, James Melton, Jimmy Lee, David Lynn, Alton Monroe, and Edward Ray Tomlinson. Sissy is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Jewel Marie Petty of Junction and Marcie Elaine & Paul Anthony Benavides of Menard. Her most precious possessions, her grandkids & great-grandkids, Elliott Jones II, Qhue Jones, Cydney Petty, Raven Aguirre, Aerial & Quentin Baker and Lexus Aguirre, sisters, Nancy Baker, Sharon Tomlinson, and brother, Bobby Tomlinson, great-grandkids, Ella Jones, Colton Jones, Paisley Jones, Jameson Baker, and Elliott Jones III, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces, and nephews and cousins. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Sissy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and Nanny, who loved with all her heart. Per Sissy's request, no memorial service will be held.
