Bio
Leon Viadislav Hromadka, age 86, of Belton passed from this life with his loving family by his side on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital. Leon was born on September 24, 1937, in West to his parents John J and Emma (Baca) Hromadka. Leon had been a resident of Belton for many years of his life. In his younger years, Leon was raised on a farm in Ratibor and attended Lost Prairie school house until attending high school in Rogers. After high school, Leon went on to serve four years in the United States Air Force and then spent the remaining years of his career as a civil servant based out of the Corpus Christi Naval Air base. Leon's life was spent honoring God through his marriage, his family and his faithfulness to his church and community. Leon will be deeply missed by his many friends and family members. Leon leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Jessecia Hromadka of Belton, and three children: Jeffrey Hromadka of Temple, Amy Edwards of Cedar Park, and Nathan Hromadka of Forth Worth. Leon is also survived by one sister, Aline Haisler of Temple, five granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11 o'clock a.m. with James Marconi officiating. The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Following the funeral service, Leon will be buried in Seaton Cemetery in Seaton. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
