Charles Cecil Moore, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Military Honors will be performed at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow the military honors at the funeral home until 7:00 p.m. Charles was born on January 6, 1939, in Richland Center, WI to Riley and Sylvia (Kinder) Moore. He served in the U.S. Army as a Hazardous Material Handler while he was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas. Charles worked many jobs at the Paper Mill in Port Edwards. Following retirement at the mill he enjoyed driving truck. In Charles free time, he enjoyed going hunting, fishing and taking trips on his motorcycle. He collected many antique garden tractors and would attend the seasonal tractor shows in the area. After his retirement he played cards, sheepshead, with his friends. Charles favorite thing in life was to spend time with his family and his dog, Coco. Charles is survived by his children, Steven (Trudi) Moore, Michael (Bonnie) Moore, Tami (Gary Sr.) Brost; grandchildren, Shawn (Andrea), Hannah, Devin (Deidre), Emily (Tony), Brent, Jennifer (Andrew), Kelly, Thayne, Nicholas (Sarah), Megan (Luke), Gary Jr., Tyler (Veejay), Erika (David), Mackenzie (Ashtin); 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Moore; three nieces and beloved dog, Coco. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Moore; grandson, Christopher Brost; brothers, Jim, Pearlie, Clarence; sister, Beulah (Everett) Boettcher and two sibling infant twins.
