Duncan Banner, Sun., June 8, 2008 Comanche - JACK "NUBBIN" SIDES, 79, of Comanche, Okla., passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Dale Howry and Ken Howry officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Jack was born June 18, 1928, to Jack and Telitha Dear Sides at the family home outside of Comanche. Nubbin attended Graham School, and then Comanche High School. He was a lifelong resident of the Comanche community. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a veteran of the Korean War. Nubbin retired from Stephens County after many years of service. He loved ranching and working with cattle and horses. On Aug. 28, 1959, he married Rosa Bell "Coe" Seida in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Coe; a son, Joe Sides and his wife Kathy of Comanche; three daughters, Diane Stewart and husband Joe Bill, Paula Davis and Patsy Snyder, all of Duncan; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many lifelong friends.
