Served in the War of 1812. Tennessee Records: Tombstone Inscriptions and Manuscripts (1933) ****************** Husband of Sarah (nee Davidson) Shaw. His parents were Robert Shaw and Esther (nee Blair) Shaw both of County Antrim, Ulster Province, Ireland. He was born in Augusta County Virginia November 16, 1779. He fought in the war of 1812. He came to Tenn in early 1800 and resided there until his death on April 21, 1852.
