John Lukes 70, Waverly, died Tuesday (2/17/09). Born 8/22/1938 in Lincoln to John and Lucille (Makovicka) Lukes. Ret. Belt Dept. at Goodyear Plant, carpenter, "John of All Trades", hunter, loved to boat and ski. Member of Capital City Christian Church. Tremendously loved his family and was known as "Silly Grandpa". Family members include wife: Lois; daughter, son-in-law: Vicki and John Tipken; son, daughter-in-law: Gordon and Anita Lukes, all of Eagle; four grandchildren; half-brother, spouse: Bill and Loree Southerland, Papillion.
