Bobbie Fulmer, 96, passed from this life, reuniting with his dearly beloved, Nancy, on August 24, 2024. Born September 13th, 1927, in Nacogdoches, Texas, Bobbie has always been known as a strong, independent, caring man with a sharp sense of humor. He also possessed a love for his country, joining the Army as a young man and serving as a Military Policeman in both WWII and the Korean War. Bobbie married the love of his life, Nancy Grigsby Fulmer, on February 28th, 1959. Working as a Signalman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, he and Nancy spent the early years of their marriage raising their two daughters in Palestine, TX. After retiring from the railroad in 1978, he and Nancy spent most of their time doing what they loved most, traveling, and catching fish with family and friends at Lake Palestine. In 1997, Bobbie's beautiful, devoted wife of 38 years passed away. Following this profound loss, he bravely faced the next 27 with remarkable strength and resilience, showering love over his daughters, grandchildren, and great grands. All of which lovingly referred to him as "Daddy Bob." Bobbie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy Fulmer: two brothers, Linville and Orland Fulmer and sister Patsy Fulmer Hays. He is survived by his daughters, Connie Fulmer of Mineral Wells, TX, Grace Brymer (Larry) of Fulton, MS; grandchildren Katherine Brymer Deeley (Brad) of Austin, TX, Martin Brymer (Andrea) of Springtown, TX, Brandon Fulmer (Brianna) of Azle, TX, Meagan Gersbach of Holland, TX, Ruthie Burdette (Robert) of Pflugerville, TX, and nine great grandchildren. Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1515 S Loop 256, Palestine, TX on August 31, 2024 at 11:00 am. (Bailey-Foster Funeral Home)
