J. D. Holliman, 81, a retired farmer in the Oklaunion Community, died about 4 a.m. Tuesday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30p.m. Wednesday at Henderson-Fields Funeral Chapel with Rev. M.W. Reynolds, pastor of the Texas Street Methodist Church, Officiating. Burial will be in East View Memorial Park with Masonic graveside rites. Mr. Holliman was born Nov. 30, 1891, in Milam county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Holliman. He married Miss Nola Tyler Dec. 10, 1911,in Rockdale. They moved to Wilbarger county in 1917 from Milam County. He was a member of the Texas Street Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two sons Preston Holliman of Harold, and Alton Holliman of Ft. Worth; three daughters Mrs. J. B. Whiteley of Rockdale, Mrs. I. F. Kennedy of Dallas, and Mrs. W. R. Hunt of Vernon; a brother Elmer Holliman of Milam County; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
