Services for J.W. Adams, 66, of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008, at Lloyd James Funeral chapel with Pastor Bob F. Wallace officiating. Burial is at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mr. Adams passed away on Friday, May 30, 2008, in Tyler. He was born on April 1, 1942, in Tyler to the late Jerry Hundell and Loma Mae Lockridge Adams. He was a carpenter and had lived in Tyler since 2005, formerly residing in Leflore, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Ray Adams, and sisters, Dovie M. Fantini, Gloria M. Adams and Margie McIntire. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Lee Livesay of El Paso, and Jerry Livesay of Killeen; sisters, Mary Helen Craft of Tyler, Donna L. Rayford of Huntsville, Bobbie J. Abbott of Tyler, and Linda S. Walker of Georgia; four grandchildren; and many friends in Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Ken Jones, Trent Jones, Keith Craft, Craig Craft, Carmen Fantini, Mike Fantini and Gary Rayford. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
