Vida "Granny" Meeks, 83, of Irving, died Saturday. Born on April 2, 1918, in Chigger Hill, Texas, she owned and operated Granny's Snack Shack. Services were Tuesday at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. Survivors include her daughters, Ila Fay Darter and Mary Jo Bryson, both of Fort Worth, and Arletta Roach of Irving; brother, Carl Phillips of McKinney; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
