Nancy Hornbuckle Byers, 82, of Woodville passed away on April 7, 2024. Born November 11, 1941, in Winnsboro, Texas, she lived in Plano for many years. She was retired as a legal title administrator having worked in Woodville for Josiah Wheat for over 20 years before working for Acor Corp where she retired. Nancy loved to travel worldwide, especially to a place she and David could hike. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, James Hornbuckle and Sara Petty Hornbuckle, and her husband, David Byers. She is survived by her loving family, sons, Steven Grimes and wife, Ann of Woodville and Corey Grimes of Springtown, Texas; stepchildren, Jennifer Byers Carter and Brian Byers both of California; sister, Oweda Crow of Longview; brothers, Bruce Hornbuckle of Whitehouse, Texas and Larry Hornbuckle of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other family members and friends. © 2024 Riley Funeral Home
