Washington, IL - Stuart Alan Hoover, 59, of Washington passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. He was born on September 21, 1964 in Peoria, IL to the late Donald and Donna J. (Brecklin) Hoover. He married Cynthia Schuricht on June 3, 1989 in Washington, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Brock (Hannah) Hoover and April (Trevor) Berry; his sister, Cindy (Steve) Doty; his sister-in-law, Jill Hoover; and his aunt, Nancy Hoover. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jeff Hoover. Stu graduated from Washington Community High School in 1983. He played football one year and he played baseball all four years. He started working at Farm & Fleet in 1987, where he met his future wife; he knew right away that he would marry her. From there he found his niche in customer service and sales, working many years at Mike Murphy Ford. Stu enjoyed spending his free time fishing and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved music and was a wealth of knowledge about songs and artists. He loved any and all animals and enjoyed classic cars. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
