She was born November 16, 1935 in rural Brainard, NE to Leopold and Marie (Codr) Coufal. She attended Holy Trinity grade school in Brainard and two years of high school with the Notre Dame Sisters in Omaha. She was united in marriage on February 15, 1954 to Julius Meduna at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard, NE. From this union seven children were born, Julie, Leo, Louis, Nancy, Mark, Irene and Dave. While Marcy was a devoted mother, she also enjoyed her work as a nurse's aide, a day care provider and at Hakel's Café. She loved taking care of people. She was a faithful member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband Julius. Marcy is survived by her children, Julie (Jerry) Sydik of Raymond, NE, Dr. Leo (Denise) Meduna of Malmo, NE, Louis (Linda) Meduna of Lincoln, NE, Mark (Roxanne) Meduna of Weston, NE, Irene (Henry) Hrdlicka of Fremont, NE and Dr. Dave (Shari) Meduna of Lincoln, NE; son-in-law, Don Schweitzer of Warsaw, MO; grandchildren, Remy (Katie) Sydik, Mike (Rebecca) Meduna, Joe (Chelsea) Meduna, Amanda (Brian) Ring, Phillip (Tonya) Meduna, Allison (Kirk) Brown, Amber (Joe) Stolpe, Dan (Jessie) Schweitzer, Dean (Cassie) Schweitzer, Crystal Severin, Jesse Meduna, Hank Hrdlicka, Rachel (Zach) Simonds, Jacob Meduna, Emily Meduna and Eric Meduna; 40 great-grandchildren; two great-great; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Meduna; daughter, Nancy Schweitzer; parents; Leopold and Marie Coufal; brothers, Joseph, Leo, John, Alois, Raymond, Adolf, and Antonin Coufal; sisters, Mary Potter, Helen (Sr. Dominic) Coufal, Genevieve Jensen, and Petronyla Coufal.
