Bio
He was the son of William Edgar and Callie (Partain) Ford. At the age of 18, Olen moved to Fontana, California where he met and married the former Wanda Quinn on February 22, 1942. In 1966, Olen and Wanda and their children decided it was time to move back to Stigler, Oklahoma. Since he loved carpentry, he made his livelihood from buying, re-modeling and re-selling many houses in the Stigler area. Olen retired after 40 years of dedicating his life to his family and business. He was a longtime member of the Stigler congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Olen was instrumental in moving the original building from Porum to its present site east of Stigler, donating the property for the re-location. Olen was predeceased by his parents, William and Callie Ford; two brothers Leland Ford of Stigler and Vernon Ford of Avalon, California; one sister Ola Fern Speer of Sunnyvale, California. Private Family Services will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 at 10:00am at the Stigler Cemetery followed by an 11:00am Memorial Service at The Kingdom Hall, Stigler, Oklahoma with Mr. Les Woodard officiating. Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory.
