Bio
Barbara Hamilton, 74, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother who was caring and loved not only to laugh, but to bring laughter. She was creative and enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. She was preceded in death by her son, Byron Richard Pruitt. Survivors: She leaves daughters and their husbands, Beverly and Roger Mercer, Bridget and Jim Armistead, Bianca and Bill Cox; son, Burl and wife, Janie Pruitt; stepson, Junior Hamilton; grandchildren, Roger Mercer Jr., Brian Mercer, Danette Goff, Michael Mercer, Graham Armistead, Christopher Cox, Emily Cox, Shawna Pruitt and Philip Pruitt; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Wanda Coussan; numerous other relatives; and friends.
