John Wayne Ritter was born on October 29, 1937, in Loop, Texas, to the late Henry Ritter and Gladys Hayes Ritter. He passed away on July 16, 2024, in Longview. John Wayne married Mrs. Linda Wall Ritter on February 25, 1961, and celebrated almost 62 years together before she preceded him in death in 2022. John Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family, playing with his grandchildren, riding on the pontoon boat on the lake, and gardening. He loved to tell stories of when he worked on the pipelines and he loved to take trips with his friends and family.
