Beulah M. Garhart, age 91 of Stromsburg, NE, died Sunday, July 14, 2024 in Stromsburg. She was born on July 12, 1933 to Irvin and Ruby M. (Timmerman) Cloyd in Ewing, NE. She graduated from Ewing High School in 1951. On April 19, 1952 she was united in marriage to George Alfred Garhart in O'Neill, NE. Beulah was a clinical secretary, the secretary of admissions at York College for 20+ years, and Epworth Village for 1 year. She was the bakery manager at Super Value for 3 years, bakery clerk at Econo Foods, and worked at Floralane Flower Shop for 9 years. She owned Family Floral in York, NE for 7 or 8 years. Her last employment was as a clerk at Blue Valley. Beulah was an active supporter of Helping Hands for York College, and made quilts for all the kids. She made lots of silk flowers for friends and weddings, and belonged to a card club. She spent the last few years living at Midwest Covenant Home where she did crafts, puzzles, solitaire on the computer, and dominoes and scrabble with Kimberly. She is survived by her 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law; her daughter and son-n-law; her grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, her brother; brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael, brother David Cloyd, sister Judy Napier, and sister-in-law Merit Cloyd. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2024 at Metz Chapel in York, with Pastor Leonard Suhr officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in York.
