Ruth I. Chrisp Ruth I. Chrisp age 92, resident of Auburn, Nebraska died Sunday, July 7, 2024. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the Arnold Cemetery in Arnold, NE. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements. Online words of remembrance and encouragement can be left at www.govierbrothers.com Ruth was born March 16, 1932, at the farm north of Arnold, Nebraska. She was the second child born to Claude Robert Romans and Hazel Irene (Blowers) Romans. Ruth had an older brother Clarence A. Romans, younger twin sisters, Alice and Doris, and a younger brother, Duane. Ruth spent her early years on the family farm north of Arnold in the Cedar Grove community before the family relocated to Pleasant Hill community northeast of Arnold when she was 8 years old. On December 23, 1950, Ruth married Dean E. Chrisp. From the marriage was born four children: Lynn, twins Jean and Jane, and Kent. Ruth is survived by: Lynn (Michele) Chrisp, Jane (Richard) Andrew, Kent Chrisp, twelve grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Duane Romans and niece, Donna (Kent) Nelson as well as other nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Irene, brother Clarence, sisters Alice and Doris, and a son Jean Chrisp.
