The Rockdale Reporter May 29, 2008 Pyburn EARLY — Funeral services for Bonnie Hudgens Land Pyburn, 87, were held Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Rev. Mike Whisenant officiating. Burial followed at the Bangs Cemetery. Mrs. Pyburn died Sunday, May 25, at the Care Center in Early. She was born March 10, 1921, the youngest of 12 children of Albert Sidney and Jeff White Hudgens in Lohn. Mrs. Pyburn was a graduate of the Masonic Home in Fort Worth, and was a retired LVN working at various nursing homes in the area. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a longtime Church of Christ member. Mrs. Pyburn was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two great-granddaughters, her parents, three brothers and eight sisters. Survivors are her first husband and father of her children, Thomas Carlton Land of Granbury; five children, Linda Land Whorton and husband Warren of Rockdale, Suellen Land Mahanay and husband Charles of Burleson, Thomas and Cindy Land of Comanche, Albert and Deborah Land of Granbury, and Bonnie Land Newman and husband Mike of Brownwood; also, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Derric Whorton, Joey Byrd, Jackie Byrd, Joe Cook, Lonnie Whorton and David Karl. Honorary Pallbearers were Mike Newman, Ricky Byrd, Ryan Land, Randy Land, and Delbert Willis.
