Bio

Daughter of Samuel & Lily (Judson) Lichtenberger. Eldest of seven children; attended grade school at Spring Creek, near Callaway; attended Callaway High School for 11/2 years. Loved all sports; in high school, won many medals running in track; worked on the family farm helping her dad in the fields and milking cows; also helped new mothers in their homes with their babies. Married: June 16, 1939, to Stanley Clayton Leibhart at Lexington. He died in November 1972. Lived in Callaway until 1949; moved to Miller, resided there three years; moved to Sumner, 1952; after death of husband, lived at Maple Manor in Elm Creek, 1972-1999, then moved to St. Luke's Countryside Villa in Kearney Activities: loved cooking, baking, and having family dinners on Sundays; was baptized on Oct. 5, 1999, at her home in Elm Creek, with her family in attendance; loved attending church service with Pastor Dean Pofahl and singing the beautiful hymns with the other residents on Sundays at the home. Survivors include her seven children, Connie (Billy) Rader of Sumner, Florine (Dennis) Roeder of Amherst, Ronald (Linda) Leibhart of Imperial, Paul (Rita) Leibhart of Overton, Ricky Leibhart of Kearney, Bradley (Pam) Leibhart of Imperial, and Cynthia Leibhart of Imperial; three sisters, Ione Krusell of Elm Creek, Ida Mae Leonard of Taft, Calif., and Naomi Warta of Oshkosh; one brother, Jay Lichtenberger of Mason City; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents, Samuel and Lily Lichtenberger; brother, Don LeRoy Lichtenberger; sister, Evelyn Drummond; daughter-in-law, Kathy Leibhart; great-granddaughter, Sara Johnsen; and one great-great-granddaughter, Larrisa Gullion.
