Born the son of Silas H. Bouknight (1851 – 1885) and Darthula Jane Bullard (Later Moore 1856 – 1924), he married Mattie Mathilda Steelman (1878 – 1914) and their children were: - Ernest Haden Bouknight (1900 – 1988) - Exa Bouknight (1901 - 1985) - Floyd Osborn Bouknight (1905 – 1978) - Ottis L. Bouknight (1907 – 1963) Per: Ron Wade After Mattie's death, he married Minnie L. Nipper (1904 – 1973).
