Bio

Exact year of birth is problematic. Headstone has 1870. DC says birthdate was 4 Sept 1873. On the 6 May 1910 census in Caldwell County, Texas, he said he was 36 years old which would be consistent with a birth year of 1873. DC informant was son Ben, aka Bolick, who said his father's mother's maiden name was Eva Kruger. That was Ben's mother's name, not his father's mother's maiden name.
