Bio

Clara May Benning, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Meadow View Senior Living Center. She was born on July 17, 1929, in Dimock, to the late Leo B. and Minnie E. (Thomas) Stevens. Her daughter, Jacklyn Garforth, predeceased her. [Survivors' information omitted for privacy.] Clara retired from the PA Turnpike after 24 years of service. She was a member of the AAA Advisory Council of Susquehanna County. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at the South New Milford Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Thomas, of the South New Milford Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Jersey Hill Cemetery, Auburn Twp. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to South New Milford Baptist Church.
