Bio

Milton J. Volney, age 79, of Georgetown, entered eternal rest surrounded by family May 19, 2024. Milton was born June 12, 1944, in Taylor, to Jerome and Lydia Volney (Zrubek). He married Gladys Volney (Schoener) Jan. 16, 1971, and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Lydia Volney; sister, Loretta Raesz and husband Charles Raesz. Milton is survived by his wife, Gladys Volney; two daughters, Lisa Baird and husband Cliff and Karen Sands and husband Todd; and five grandchildren, Aiden Mount, T.J. Mount, Keegan Mount, Whitney Sands and Sydnee Sands. A celebration of life will be held June 8, at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Georgetown.
