Theresa L. Hasik passed away March 12, 2009 after a long courageous fight with leukemia. Every one who knew her admired her graciousness, her sense of humor, and her tenacious spirit. She was an avid Giant's fan and a true nature lover, who could name any bird she saw. She also had a great fascination with astronomy. Teri was born in Wahoo, NE on October 26, 1955. Shortly after her birth her family moved to Novato where they have remained for 53 years. Teri attended Novato Schools and graduated in 1973 from Novato High. She worked many years for Westamerica Bank and moved up rapidly through the ranks. She also worked for the San Rafael School District. Teri will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her partner of 30 years, William Hoxie; her three brothers, George (Linda), Howard (Christeen), Jim (Laura Saunders); her six sisters, Marybeth Compton (Raleigh Bettiga), Fran Hasik (Al Johnson), Joanne Dallara (Tony), Ellen Scherba (George), Shawn Hasik, Cheryl Jayne (Mike); her in-laws Heidi Vonn (Tom), Stephen (Laurel), Christopher (Karla) and Lisa Hoxie. Teri is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins that she cared for deeply. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Adeline and George Hasik.
