He was born September 23, 1924, in Sevier, Utah, to Herman L. and Lillian Madsen Bridges. He married Dorothy Hicks, July 23, 1948, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, June 27, 1949. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II where he was stationed in England. He graduated from B.Y.U in 1950 with a B.S. Degree in Geology. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service and Bureau of Reclamation for 30 years. Bob was a High Priest in the Joseph LDS Ward and served many years in various capacities. He was also an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 53 years, Sevier; children, Wendy Bridges, Salt Lake City; Sandra Callery, Murray; Lloyd Bridges, Riverton; Lesa (Scott ) Swaner, Vernonia, OR; Covette (Raul) Soto, Kearns, Rex (Stephanie) Bridges, West Jordan; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Rex L.(Beatrice) Bridges, Monroe; Neal M. Bridges, Salt Lake City; sister, Eloise Rosequist, Richfield; nieces Shirley Hunt, Richfield; Marjorie (Dan) Baird, Annabella. Preceded in death by parents;sister, Veone Madsen; twin sister and brother, Grace and Grant Bridges. Funeral services will be held Fri. March 23, 2001, in the Joseph LDS Ward Chapel in Elsinore. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Thurs. and at the Ward Chapel in Elsinore on Fri. from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery with military rites by the Elsinore American Legion Post #75.
