According to his probate file he died intestate on June 27, 1884 leaving his widow Anna and children Charles, Frank, and Anna as his heirs (Butler County probate file #91). Not listed on the Butler County mortality schedule for the 1885 census. His wife's obituary states the couple were married in Wisconsin. "From Wisconsin Mr. and Mrs. Dvorak moved to Hastings where they resided for a short time and then removed to Iowa. They returned to Nebraska about 36 years ago locating at David City where he engaged in the mercantile business and he was also a member of the David City band. After three years residence in David City they moved on to a farm near Brainard, where Mr. Dvorak died about a year later." NOTE: His son Charles married Kathryn (Toman) Dworak (#122814188).
