Letha Mae Phillips, 81, of Aubrey, TX passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Denton, TX. She was born May 6, 1943 in McKinney, TX to Alfred and Rachel (Miller) Mosier. The fourth of four children, her older sister couldn't say "my little sister" properly and it came out "Mysisy" or Macy. Letha became Macy or Mazie for the rest of her life. When Macy was about 16, she met Leonard Wilburn Phillips. Love was in the air when she was 21. They were married November 8, 1964, by Rev. Chester Halloway in Pilot Point, TX. Even though there was an age difference, they were happily married 41 years until Wilburn's death in 2005. Macy will always be remembered for her strong faith in Jesus Christ and for saying what she thought. She is survived by her six nephews; one niece; two great-nieces; and three- great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Rachel; two brothers, Arnold Leroy Mosier and Alfred Leon Mosier; and sister, Mary Louise Vest. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, May 24, 2024, at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX with Pastor Chris Walden officiating.
